Cast Glass Objects for “Daughters of Uranium” by Artist Mary Kavanagh

We were commissioned by Canadian artist Mary Kavanagh to create multiple objects made with Uranium based glass for Mary’s 2020 art exhibition “Daughter of Uranium”.

We produced over 24 cast glass objects of actual field samples sent to us by Mary, such as yucca seed pods, song birds, fungi and also a set of full size legs and hands all of which were cast in a radioactive glass that is made with Uranium Oxides, which glows radioactive green when lit with UV light.
