Restoration of Morris & Co. “The Crucifixion” All Saints Anglican Church Winnipeg

In April 2024 we were commissioned by All Saints Anglican Church here in Winnipeg to restore their beloved alter window “The Crucifixion” made by world renowned glass studio Morris & Co, Circa 1920.

We removed the Altar window and transported it back to the studio to be worked on over the next 4 months. The window was photographed to note any existing damage and then was painstakingly disassembled, each piece of glass was catalogued and carefully cleaned. Amazingly there was only one piece of glass that was replaced out right otherwise the entire window retains the original glass. The window was then rebuilt using new lead came and the original steel rebars were reattached as per the original design. In September 2024 the window was reinstalled as good as new!

This was the finest window we have restored to date and we thank All Saints’ for entrusting us with the restoration of this important piece of Winnipeg history.
